Xerox Corporation to acquire 100% in Indian arm Xerox India Ltd

24th May 2005: Xerox Corporation today said it would increase its shareholdings in Xerox India Ltd to 100% the current 86%. "We intend to increase our stake to 100% and we will extend an offer subject to FIPB approval", said Managing Director Xerox India Ltd, Andrew Horn. The remaining 14% shares of Xerox India Ltd are held currently by the public, Financial Institutions and Modi Rubber.

Deccan Chronicle Holdings acquires another 67% stake in Asian Age Holdings

23rd May 2005: Deccan Chronicle Holdings has informed the National Stock Exchange (NSE) that the company has acquired 67% stake in Asian Age Holdings Ltd. The company has already holding 23% of equity shares of Asian Age Holding Ltd. The stock was trading with a gain of 1.98% at Rs 203.85 after touching an intra-day high of Rs 208.70. Over 1.13 lakh shares were traded on BSE so far. The board has also recommended dividend of 10% of the year 2004-2005.

UB Group to acquire Airbus Corporate Jetliner

20th May 2005: UB Group, the parent company of Kingfisher Airlines, is to acquire an Airbus Corporate Jetliner (ACJ). Delivery of the outfitted Airbus ACJ would be in the summer of 2006, and would be powered by international aero engines V2500s, Airbus said in a release.

"We are delighted to have a business of UB Group's calibre as our first Airbus ACJ family customer in India and look forward to delivering a productive asset that will make full use of the unmatched spaciousness that the aircraft’s cabin provides," Airbus vice president (executive and private aviation), Richard Gaona said.

It said that Airbus ACJ family has the best cabin in its class, with twice the width of traditional business jets and three times the volume.
